For the 2019 model year, the original SRT Hellcat models climbed to 717 horsepower while the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye debuted with 797 horsepower; and for 2021, the Charger got the Redeye treatment as well.

New engine calibration raises the output to an astonishing 1,000 horsepower and 948 lb-ft of torque. That's only 25 horsepower shy of the automaker's flagship SRT Demon 170 — and the Hennessey H1000 'Last Stand' editions run on pump-unleaded gasoline.

Supplied by Japanese company IHI, the supercharger grew to 2.7 liters in the Demon, with boost pressure also improved to 14.5 PSI. The supercharger in the Redeye, Super Stock, and Jailbreak displaces 2.7 listers as well, and – obviously enough – also runs 14.5 pounds per square inch of boost.

When running on 93-octane pump gas, a Challenger Redeye with the Stage 2 kit delivers 837 horsepower, but when you switch to the 100-octane race gas tune, the output jumps to 885 horsepower and 787 lb-ft of torque.

The standard setup makes "only" 717 horsepower, and the version in the Redeye pumps out 797 horses. The 807-hp Super Stock model features dedicated equipment for drag racing.
