Are your health records for sale on the dark web?I read a CNBC article today that blew my mind. Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler said on the dark web, medical records sell for $60 compared to $15 for a Social Security number and $3 for a credit card. Compounding that is the fact that there’s a chronic shortage of staffing, and as the Change Healthcare uproar has shown, there’s tremendous pressure to restore access quickly.“Health-care data being exposed is a lot worse than most other data and the bad guys know this,” [Sumedh] Thakar, [CEO of cybersecurity company Qualys] said.Link to the full article in the comments

My vote for work from home #938364 - my (2nd) home office sits next to a window on the second floor. Today the birds were enjoying the snow and I grabbed my long lens, opened my window, and snapped a photo. Though the keurig at the office is really nice too 🥹

Anyone else ride home on the MBTA commuter rail with a big yellow yoga ball from #CoreSummit23? Just me? My kids are always so excited about the swag that comes home from conferences, so I loved the "About to bounce? Take a ball on your way out"

This data? Unsurprising.I would be curious the type of startups Women and POC are founding and the diversity in those types of startups. It makes me wonder if VCs are investing in so many similar businesses that are being launched during booms, rather than investing in diverse in thought or diverse in need startups. We are seeing another boom right now (AI/Machine Learning) and I am sure many of these aren't diverse in thought or unique ideas being launched. I'd be willing to bet that the startups founded by WOC, POC, and women in general are hitting needs that people in power aren't ready to take "risks" on. But sure, let's invest in a AI driven CRM. We need that.
