The Production of the Dodge Demon is Complete

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon had quite the run but sadly it has come to an end. The very last of the Demon's rolled down the production line at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada on May 30th. The production of the Demon only lasted one model year and just 3,300 of these bad boys were created.

Don't worry though you still have a chance to get your hands on a Demon and the very last 2017 Dodge Viper as well! Both of these supercars will be traveling to the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut for "The Ultimate Last Chance" Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction! These two vehicles will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and 100% of the sale will be going straight to United Way! The event takes place from June 20th to the 23rd. Before the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon makes it to the auction it will be outfitted with a one-of-a-kind VIN instrument panel badging, Demon Vehicle Badging, 18-inch Demon drag radial tires, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and a hand-painted exclusive Viper Red exterior color!

What kind of power does the Demon pack?

The Demon is a pretty impressive muscle car and boy does it pack a punch! This vehicle is the industry's first and only purpose-built street-legal production drag car. Underneath the hood of the Challenger is a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8, the very engine that makes the Demon the most-powerful muscle car ever created. This engine cranks out an incredible 770 pound-feet of torque and 840 horsepower. The Demon is so fast and powerful that the National Hot Rod Association, also known as the NHRA, has banned it from the drag strip.

What awards has the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon won?

The Demon's trophy cabinet is practically bursting! The Demon set the world record for the longest wheelie from a standing start for a production car. The wheelie lasted a full 2.92 feet and it was certified by Guinness World Records! The Demon also claims the world's fastest 0-60 production car title clocking just 2.3 seconds and it literally only takes the Demon 1 second to go from 0 to 30 miles per hour. This unfathomable muscle car is also the fastest quarter-mile car ever made, the NHRA certified that this beast completes the quarter-mile in just 9.65 seconds at 140 miles per hour. The Demon doesn't stop there though. This car also boasts the highest g-force acceleration of any production car at 1.8 g!

What are some of the firsts the Demon has provided the industry with?

The Demon comes with more than 20 industry-first, drag-performance features! This muscle car is the first production car to be outfitted with the innovative SRT Power Chiller which is a liquid-to-air intercooler chiller system and the After-Run Chiller which keeps cooling the charge air cooler/supercharger even after the engine is shut off. The Demon is also the first ever factory production car to run on 100+ high octane unleaded fuel. It also boasts the TransBrake for quicker and more powerful launches. The Demon is the first-ever, factory-production drag car with Torque Reserve. This helps deliver increased amounts of torque and power at launch. Last but definitely not least, the Demon is the first ever production vehicle to come with the ability to delete the front passenger seat.

Sadly, you can no longer purchase a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon at a dealership but you check out our other Challenger and Challenger SRT models right here!
