Call Your Card Issuer or Bank Immediately

If you don't receive your money, file a claim with your bank immediately to start the resolution process. If you used a credit card instead of a debit card linked to your checking account, check with the card issuer.

If an ATM takes your cash or check and doesn't deposit it, stay calm and contact your bank immediately.

Your first step should be to call the bank's 24-hour customer service helpline. After making a note of your issue and recording your transaction reference number, the executive will register your complaint and will issue you a complaint tracking number. The matter is then investigated.

According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rules, if an ATM cash withdrawal transaction has failed although the bank account was debited, banks have to automatically reverse the deducted money within T+5 days maximum.
